We are working exclusively with a globally successful wine & spirits business that has a range of market leading brands that they supply to the On & Off Trade channels. This is a newly created role within the Finance team. Hybrid remote working (2 to 3 days in the London office).
Job Role and Responsibilities
The main purpose is to assist the Net Revenue manager ensuring the monthly reporting information is up to date and accurate. Supporting the commercial team, this position requires a keen attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams to drive financial accuracy and support strategic decision-making.
- Checking and processing Accruals forms
- Invoice tracker reconciliation – on/off & Marketing
- Prize reconciliation
- Month end reporting
- Month end prize adjustment
- Month end Net Net Sales checks
- Assessment of commercial proposals, using customer value chains
- Evaluation of customer/agency investment
- Evaluation of return on investment using ROI tool, making recommendations to the business
- Support of the commercial teams
- Support with the Budget and forecasting process
- Support with agency reporting
- Support with Monthly marketing tracking
- Maintain and update commercial finance tools
- Maintain & supporting with system integrity
- Ad hoc reporting
Background and Skills
- University graduate preferable but not essential
- Working towards a professional qualification (preferably ACCA, CIMA)
- Strong level of competency with Excel
- 1-2 years experience in a similar role
- FMCG industry experience ‘nice to have’
- A strong team player with the ability to interact and effectively communicate with those outside of Finance teams to deliver preferred outcomes
- Commercial acumen and financial curiosity of how a business invests in customers, keeping the financial health of the business front of mind
