German speaking Preconstruction Manager

We are currently recruiting for a German speaking Preconstruction Manager on behalf of a client near Slough.

The company specialises in the construction of parking solutions and they are involved in projects in the UK and Germany. They are looking for a Preconstruction Manager to oversee the logistical planning, import and export of materials and timeline forecasting of various projects. Many of the suppliers are based in Germany which is why a fluent German speaker is required.

The role is hybrid with 3 days a week in the office near Slough. The salary is around £50,000-£60,000 depending on experience. Candidates should have previous experience in construction in consulting, design management, civil engineering or project management.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the whole contracting cycle.
• Ensure contractors and suppliers are legitimate and registered.
• Take care of transportation of materials, including customs clearance.
• Be the point of contact for all technical questions relating to the preconstruction process.
• Ensure measurements of and invoicing for materials are in accordance with specifications.

What we\’re looking for:

• Native German speaker
• Fluent English
• Previous experience in preconstruction ideally in steel construction.
• Education in civil or structural engineering would be ideal.
• Confidence using CAD systems.
