CNC Heavy Engineering Machinist

Ashton Under Lyne

Days / Mon-Thurs 8am-4.30pm Fri 8am-1pm (37 hours)

Nights / Mon-Thurs 6am – 6pm (40 hours)

Multiple Positions Available

  • Days – 2 Horizontal
  • Nights – 1 Horizontal
  • Nights – 1 Vertical

The Role

This role is working for a business which is going through exciting change - from investments into new machinery and even forming their apprentice school. They are looking for CNC specialists in the heavy engineering sector to come and join their team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Program CNC machinery
  • Set and Operate CNC machinery

The Candidate

  • Able to program, set and operate either Vertical or Horizontal Boring machinery
  • Experience using CAD / CAM systems
  • Experience using G Code / M Code
