We are working with a leading UK and Ireland distributor of scientific equipment, based in South Manchester. With a long-standing partnership with a global manufacturer of laboratory-scale pressure vessels, we are the market leader in this field. Known for our technical expertise and customer service, we are now looking to grow our team with a Technical Support Engineer.
The Role
You will support our Sales Product Managers across the full life-cycle of pressure vessel projects from technical planning and installation to commissioning and ongoing service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for pressure-rated systems.
- Plan and carry out system installations, including site surveys, modelling, pipework, and lifting coordination.
- Use CAD to review and create technical drawings; interpret P&ID and PFD diagrams.
- Ensure compliance with PED, PSSRs and support documentation for certification.
- Deliver customer training and support pre-sales technical discussions.
- Occasionally support the admin team with goods movement documentation.
What do we need from you?
- Degree in mechanical, chemical, or process engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Strong understanding of pressure systems and engineering process flow diagrams.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel (up to two-thirds field-based).
