We are currently working with a top-tier offshore law firm who are looking for an ambitious litigation paralegal/assistant to join their dynamic and highly regarded Commercial Litigation team in the Cayman Islands. The Cayman Islands is THE jurisdiction of choice for anyone who wants to work on interesting, complex, multi-jurisdictional disputes. As a global financial services hub and the leading domicile for investment funds, some of the largest and most complex disputes are litigated here; working in the Cayman Islands offers top quality work and a lifestyle to match! The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation matters. This candidate should feel comfortable conducting research, doing data entry, scheduling, maintaining case files, and completing other ad-hoc requests, as needed. If you have the following skills and experience please apply today: Qualifications: Recognised legal or paralegal qualification from the UK, Ireland, Australia, NZ or Canada At least 3 years’ experience supporting a busy commercial litigation team in a leading city or national firm Insolvency experience is an asset Strong academic record Excellent communication skills A willingness to relocate and to embrace a new challenge offshore! Duties: Legal research Drafting correspondence, and assisting with the preparation of court documents Document management including preparation of bundles Assisting with case management and strategy Liaising with other parties, counsel, the court and other external service providers Providing administrative support to lawyers Salary will be in the region of US$100k (completely tax-free) plus discretionary bonus and a relocation package.
