Compliance Officer

Our customer, a multinational law firm is seeking an experienced Compliance Specialist. This role is based in either London, with a hybrid working arrangement that requires onsite presence 1 to 3 times per week at the client’s office.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in anti-bribery and corruption (ABC) compliance, with expertise in UK Bribery Act (UKBA) and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) regulations. This role involves reviewing and approving gifts, donations, and grants, conducting compliance training, and supporting various related compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain ABC compliance programs in line with UKBA and FCPA requirements.
• Review and approve requests related to gifts, donations, and grants to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Conduct compliance training sessions for employees and stakeholders.
• Monitor and assess compliance risks, providing recommendations to mitigate potential issues.
• Support internal investigations and audits as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a culture of compliance across the organization.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in compliance, preferably within a corporate or in-house environment.
• Strong knowledge of ABC compliance, with specific experience in UKBA and FCPA.
• Experience in reviewing and approving gifts, donations, and grants.
• Proven ability to design and deliver compliance training programs.
• In-house experience within a technology company is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
