Join us on this mission as Finisher (Anodising) with a global leader in the Aviation & Aerospace sector. This is a double day shift role, there is a 22.5% shift uplift on the basic pay. Shift hours are 06:00 to 14:00 & 13:45 to 22:00.
We have an impressive finishing plant and this role will be undertaking a variety of metal finishing processes and inspection operations, primarily anodising to the required quality standards. The ideal candidate needs to be conversant with and undertake a variety of tasks including vibration deburr, passivation, phosphating to the required quality standards.
Aspects of the role include:
- To operate anodising finishing equipment in both manual and automated production line.
- To prepare components for finishing processes by bunging, masking, jigging, etc.
- To operate barrel tumbling and vibratory finishing equipment.
- To prepare the metallic surface for further processing including anodising and passivation.
- To suitably mask components to ensure bores, holes, slots, etc are free from abrasive media before entering machinery.
- To undertake inspection of parts.
Characteristics & Skills:
- Experience working with process chemicals, working in an anodising / metal finishing environment.
- Basic manufacturing / engineering background and reading / interpreting engineering drawings.
- Background in health and safety / QA and COSHH regulations.
- SAP experience desirable.
