An expanding and exciting group based in Darlington is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join its finance team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Financial Controller and working with an established team, the successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of finance-related duties.

Key duties include:

  • Purchase & sales ledger invoice processing
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Processing sales invoices and customer contracts
  • Processing employee expenses
  • Query resolution for both customers and suppliers
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Payments runs
  • Credit Control - proactively chasing aged and current debt via telephone and email

What you'll need to succeed:

Ideally, you will have experience of working in the finance function of an owner-managed business. Whilst sound Excel skills are essential, knowledge of Sage & Xero would be advantageous. You will be someone who enjoys working in a team, has a "muck in" and "help mentality" and is looking for a role where you can genuinely enjoy your working environment and thrive as the company continues to grow.
