This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated, experienced operations professional to step into a pivotal role, working closely with the Managing Director to help drive the next phase of the company's development. The successful candidate will be instrumental in scaling operations, enhancing client service delivery, and leading a team of talented field and office-based staff.

The Opportunity: As Operations Manager, you will act as a key bridge between strategic leadership and operational execution. You'll manage a team of 3 Operations Team Leaders and up to 15 field-based staff, ensuring exceptional service delivery, efficient planning, and a motivated, high-performing workforce. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys problem-solving, and is looking to grow with an ambitious business that values its people and clients equally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a primary point of contact for key client accounts, including regular meetings and service reviews
  • Support and lead Operations Team Leaders and the Business Support Officer in effective work allocation
  • Oversee daily client service delivery across the operations team
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective conflict resolution and staff support
  • Promote a strong culture of health and safety compliance and ensure all team members are accredited
  • Manage subcontractors and oversee their work on site
  • Coordinate and attend regular on-site meetings and audits
  • Lead resource planning across staff, equipment, and vehicles
  • Manage and monitor the maintenance, repair, and replacement of equipment
  • Oversee budgets related to operational equipment and supplies
  • Ensure contractual obligations and SLAs are met across all projects
  • Track and report on performance metrics, job completions, and operational efficiency

  • Proven experience in a field-based operations role
  • Strong people management and leadership skills
  • Flexible and adaptable - this is not a standard 9-5 role
  • Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a strong customer focus
  • Ambition to develop personally while contributing to the company's long-term growth
  • Full UK driving licence (a company vehicle will be provided where necessary)
