Location: Nutgrove Building, Knowsley, L36 9GD
Contract: Initial 3 months, with possibility of extension
Full-Time: 36 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm)
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of families and children? Knowsley Borough Council is looking for a committed and experienced Family First Case Manager to join our dedicated Early Help and Prevention team.
About the Role: As a Family First Case Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting families with complex needs, helping them to build resilience and thrive. You’ll be part of a dynamic service delivering whole-family early help through multi-agency interventions, with the aim of preventing escalation to more intensive, statutory services.
You will:
- Conduct whole-family Early Help Assessments
- Organise and lead Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings
- Develop and review SMART action plans with families
- Carry out regular home visits and direct work with children and young people
- Coordinate with a wide range of partners to deliver impactful support
- Work within tight timeframes while maintaining high-quality standards
- Demonstrate excellent safeguarding practice at all times
Requirements: We’re looking for someone with:
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience
- Excellent organisational and communication skills (written and verbal)
- A sound understanding of early intervention and family support
- Confidence in working directly with families in their own homes
- The ability to develop, implement, and monitor SMART plans effectively
- Experience in multi-agency working and leading TAF meetings
