We are looking for a Data Leader to own and scale a Modern Data Platform, managing a team of Data Engineers, Data Analyst, and Data Scientist.

You’ll be responsible for designing and optimising data pipelines, implementing scalable ETL processes, and ensuring data infrastructure supports both real-time and batch processing needs. The platform ingests data across multiple domains, from sales and marketing to ML-driven product features.

This role goes beyond just technical contributions, you’ll define strategy, lead teams, and collaborate across functions to deliver high impact data solutions. You’ll work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure data is leveraged effectively, creating real value for both the business and its customers.

Key Responsibilities

Data Strategy & Platform Development

• Architect and maintain a scalable, secure, and high-performance data platform.
• Develop a long-term AI and data strategy, balancing innovation, compliance, and ethical AI practices.
• Collaborate with product teams to solve real-world business challenges with data-driven insights.

Leadership & People Development

• Build and develop a high-caliber data engineering team, fostering a culture of growth and innovation.
• Provide mentorship and career development opportunities to help team members thrive.
• Promote agile best practices and drive continuous improvement in engineering processes.

Technical Excellence & Data Governance

• Ensure data quality, governance, and security across all systems.
• Lead the development of ML and analytical models, ensuring ethical AI implementation.
• Oversee efficient infrastructure management, data pipeline orchestration, and self-serve analytics capabilities.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience (6+ years) in data engineering or data architecture, with a track record of designing and delivering scalable data solutions.
• Expertise in cloud data platforms (preferably GCP) and data warehouse implementations.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and orchestration tools (e.g., dbt, Luigi).
• Experience in leading and developing high-performing data teams in an agile environment.
• Hands-on knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
• Strong communication skills, able to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in monetizing data and building self-serve analytics capabilities.
• Knowledge of streaming data technologies and machine learning engineering.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, containerized computing, and SaaS product development.
