A tremendous opportunity for an experienced Energy Solicitor, or Corporate / Regulatory Solicitor with exposure to the Energy sector to join this highly regarded international firm and work as part of an established Energy team. The team deal with a broad spread of work and advise on regional and national projects ranging from utility scale solar, onshore turbine, battery energy storage and combined generation and storage developments to bespoke projects as well as large scale public and private renewable energy projects.

The Energy team is currently well stocked on the Property side; however, they are in need of Corporate, Regulatory & Commercial Lawyers who are capable of advising on matters including PPAs, procurement, regulatory issues, operational agreements, energy services agreements and dealing with corporate support for investments into clean energy and infrastructure/projects. The above list is not exhaustive but there is a need to have the capability to deal with general commercial work within the energy sector.

This team already has a strong client base in place and a reliable flow of work; however, they are expecting a significant increase in work during the next 6 - 12 months due to the expansion within the renewable energy sector and the clean energy pledge by the Labour government, so they are keen to add experience to the team before this happens. This means that there will likely be opportunities to develop and progress over the short to medium term and even scope to be at the helm of the corporate/commercial energy offering.

This role will be at the Senior Associate / Legal Director level with a salary expectation of £75,000 - £100,000. There is scope for this to be a Partner role; however, you would need to show extra value added, whether that be with a client following, book of contacts, sector niche or management experience.
