About the role: The instrument technician builds pneumatic and hydraulic control systems for mainly rotary actuators. Builds and commissions HPU’s. Carries out hydraulic flushing & fluid sampling. Technicians also coach and manage apprentices.
Primary responsibilities
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions
- Build control systems as per the job file & QA card
- Hydraulic flushing & fluid sampling
- Nitrogen testing
- Factory acceptance testing
- Installation and commissioning
- Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business
Qualifications
- Trained to SVQ level 3 or equivalent
- Qualified to HNC level or equivalent
- Ideally taken part in and completed an apprenticeship scheme
Experience
A mechanical, instrument or electrical background will be considered for this role with demonstrable workshop experience.
