Equity Release Commercial Actuary National salary £95,000 London salary £105,000 We have a great opportunity for a skilled and inquisitive actuary to support our equity release business! This is a great job for someone to learn about equity release, its funding, securitisation and pricing and to help drive projects that will bring value for Aviva! A bit about the job: This role is within the Equity Release Commercial team, who are responsible for the end to end value of Equity Release to Aviva, from pricing to securitisation and how returns are calculated and presented. The team is also oversees all Aviva’s Equity Release Mortgage (ERM) funding structures as well as progressing specific initiatives to improve both the management of our current positions, opportunities relating to new acquisition, and options to improve new business or backbook performance. Within the role, you will be responsible for providing high quality and flexible support in a range of areas that may include leading on specific initiatives relating to securitisation of ERMs, funding for the ERM portfolio, ongoing management of the securitisations and the management of existing external securitisations. Additionally, you will need to build productive relationships with internal stakeholders and external counterparties, be accountable for handling multiple workstreams across supporting teams to deliver the tasks assigned. Skills and experience we’re looking for: A qualified actuary with a good understanding of key life company metrics. Consideration will be given to candidates who can demonstrate equivalent skills sets and relevant experience Excellent analytical skills, and proficient in the use of excel and dealing with large datasets, with close attention to detail Good stakeholder management and the ability to work across teams and support functions, including Risk and Finance Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to write for governance committees and boards Experience with equity release mortgages, securitisation, asset valuation, programming preferred What you’ll get for this role: Our purpose – with you today, for a better tomorrow – is a promise we make to our colleagues too.
