A leading fintech company specialising in crypto and blockchain is seeking a senior corporate/M&A lawyer for a 6–12-month contract. This innovative business combines deep expertise in banking, fund management, and digital asset security to drive institutional adoption of crypto technologies.

Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing legal advice on a wide range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate governance, joint ventures, and structuring.
  • Advising on, drafting, negotiating, and reviewing key agreements, including M&A and joint venture agreements.
  • Supporting M&A transactions from end to end — from due diligence through to completion — ensuring legal compliance and mitigating risk.
  • Advising internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory compliance, while balancing legal risks with commercial objectives. Key areas include the Listing Rules, Market Abuse Regulation (MAR), Companies Act, Disclosure and Transparency Rules, and the Takeover Code.

About You:

  • A UK or Common Law qualified lawyer with at least 10+ years’ PQE in corporate advisory and/or transactional work, gained from a leading city firm or in-house legal team.
  • Commercially minded and confident in using your experience and insights to influence, advise, and challenge senior business stakeholders effectively.

This role offers hybrid working and requires someone available to start at short notice.
