Job Advert: Year 5 Teacher (Covering Teacher Secondment) Location: Colne, Lancashire Contract: Full-time, 2 terms Start Date: January 6th 2025 Pay: M scale or UPS scale (dependant on experience) We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join our school for a 2-term secondment cover. This is a wonderful opportunity for a motivated educator to make a positive impact in a supportive and vibrant school community. As a Year 5 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering a broad and engaging curriculum, supporting the academic and personal development of your students, and working closely with the teaching team to ensure a high standard of education. In this role, you will plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Year 5. You will create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, fostering a space where every child can thrive. Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on student progress will be key, providing constructive feedback to support ongoing development. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and deliver engaging learning experiences, whilst motivating students to achieve their full potential. Additionally, you will support the development of pupils’ social, emotional, and personal skills. The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification and will have experience teaching Year 5 or similar primary age groups. A sound knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum is essential. You should demonstrate excellent classroom management skills, a creative approach to teaching, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
