We are seeking a Mechanical Site Manager for a firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects. We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to join our team on an exciting new-build development.
The Mechanical Site Manager will oversee all mechanical installation activities on-site, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical building services, strong leadership skills, and a track record of delivering commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the mechanical works on-site including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and associated systems.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other site teams to ensure smooth delivery of mechanical services.
- Ensure works are completed according to drawings, specifications, and regulations.
- Monitor progress against the programme and report any delays or issues to the Project Manager.
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with HSE standards and company procedures.
- Attend and lead regular site meetings, providing technical guidance and resolving issues as they arise.
- Manage and maintain site documentation including RAMS, permits to work, and progress reports.
- Liaise with consultants, engineers, and the client representative as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Mechanical Site Manager or Supervisory role on commercial new-build projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems in building services.
- Relevant mechanical or building services qualification (e.g., HNC/HND, NVQ, or equivalent).
- SMSTS/SSSTS certification.
- CSCS card (Management level preferred).
- First Aid qualification (desirable).
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
