Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.30pm with alternate Saturdays (8.30 - 5.30) with a day off in the week.
Base Salary: £38,277.60 OTE £41,000 including performance bonus. Overtime available.
NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualification with the right experience is essential.
This is the job: We have our very own AA Autocentre based in Dartford, and we are looking for a Vehicle Mechanic to join us and continue making it a success. We are the AA; always evolving and adapting. You can be part of the Autocentre team by supporting both members and non-members with services, MOTs, maintenance, and repairs with support from our patrols towing vehicles to the centre. Not only do we keep everyone's show on the road, but we're also there for our customers wherever and whenever they need us. We'll go the extra mile for you providing training to obtain your MOT Licence, if not already held. We will also provide training for the following: ADAS; Hybrid, and EV Level 2. The Dartford Autocentre is our flagship store and you will be working in our new facilities with state of the art equipment, access to training and career progression.
What will I be doing?
- A communicator: You will delight your customers by discussing repairs or any issues relating to the vehicle, along with creating a short presentation video to accurately explain any key points of the vehicle's health check. You're the one always willing to go the extra mile.
- A fixer/problem solver: Whilst focusing on customer care you will carry out all aspects of service, maintenance & repair including diagnostics. You thrive on variety; no two days are the same and working in a close-knit team motivates you to be better.
- An explorer: You'll be motivated to keep up to date with the latest technology across the market. You will be curious, inquisitive, and even brave; continuously seeking new opportunities to make a difference.
What do I need?
Capability, Knowledge, and Experience: NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualification with the right experience is essential. Good general standard of education with a sound practical knowledge of the mechanical and electrical workings of motor vehicles and an ability to effect repairs.
