Senior System Engineer

This is a great opportunity, joining our existing project teams working and supporting our Landing Gear work packages. You will work with a consultative approach while building strong relationships with our customers as a team, communicating with stakeholders at a variety of seniority levels and provide a high standard of System Engineering.

All our consultants are adaptable and open to work across multiple sectors while being part of the team here at Akkodis.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation of design solutions to meet current and future programme requirements,
• Supporting Landing Gear System integration through maturation of system/sub-system interface documents
• Landing Gear system/sub-system Qualification and Certification (Q&C) activities
• Definition and oversight of Test and Evaluation (T&E) activities, including physical test and modelling/simulation campaigns in support to Landing Gear system/sub-system Compliance Verification.
• Project control activities, including the generation and maturation of project plans and schedules
• Support to legacy military types as required, including the progression of: Operator Queries, Landing Gear system Defect Reports, Problem Investigations and Operational Occurrence Reports

Qualifications

• A basic awareness of Aircraft and Aircraft System Qualification and Certification.
• Process optimisation and organisational skills
• Planning and reporting experience
• Development and study of different Landing gear systems.
• Verification & Validation.
• Analysing the results from lab and flight test.
• Design of experiment (DOE). Creating test cases.
• Aerospace (Fuel Systems) environment background
• Catia V5, MSC ADAMS, MATLAB, Simulink or IBM DOORS.
