We are working on behalf of our client, seeking a Fabricator. As a Metal Fabricator, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that components are fabricated and assembled to meet high-quality standards. Based in the Alfreton area. This role is temporary to permanent.
Duties:
- Preparing steel for welding.
- Assemble various metal structures and components, ensuring precision and accuracy.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal products. These include Chop Saw, Iron Worker, Fly Press and Linisher.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve any fabrication issues.
What we are looking for:
- Proficient in basic maths for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Welding skills are advantageous.
- Fabricating experience with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
