What You'll Be Doing
We’re looking for a Senior Brand Manager – Core Portfolio in our European Brand & Portfolio Team with strong experience across multiple marketing disciplines to help us develop and deliver marketing initiatives within our European Brand and Portfolio Team. This is an exciting place to be as we’re working on our growth ambition – broadening our product portfolio and the geographies we operate within.
Senior Brand Manager is accountable for the delivery of the European Vision, Strategy and Plans for Core Portfolio. This role is also accountable for the development and delivery of key innovation and renovation projects that will be executed across multiple markets, as well as development of strategic GeoX opportunities and go-to-market approach, working closely with Insight, R&D, Finance Creative, PMO, Commercial and other cross-functional teams.
It’s a broad and challenging role which will help you to further develop your marketing competencies on an innovative and growing brand, and in a company that champions personal development and lots of potential for progression for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Long Range Planning (LRP) and Supporting Assets
- Identify European Growth drivers, development of the European Vision, Strategy, contribute to development of price positioning and guardrails for Core portfolio that forms the direction for the in-market Annual Brand Plans (ABP).
- Work with insight to understand consumer behaviour and attitude in the context of Core portfolio and how this influences strategies and plans, monitor competitor activities.
- Coordinate delivery of the Core portfolio plans including NPDs/innovations, line extensions, strategic GeoX across key European markets. Coordinate development and execution of the best GTM model to launch new propositions to market.
- Continuous management of Core portfolio, incl. range optimisation, cost management to maximize profitability.
- Inspire the in-market teams and broader business behind the vision and plan for Core portfolio.
- Develop European toolkits/collateral that will be executed by the in-market teams.
- Project Management
- Lead end-to-end development and delivery of projects for Core portfolio for implementation in European markets: i.e. innovations and other NPDs – new product and packaging design, line/flavour extensions, limited editions, communication (toolkits and assets).
- Effectively use internal gate process to deliver these.
- Business Excellence
- Track and monitor the category performance, and innocent Core portfolio and KPIs of key marketing initiatives across Europe, work with markets to influence medium- and long-term performance.
- Bring external and internal best practices and inspiration to build knowledge in support of delivery of Core portfolio strategy and plans.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Strong matrix working. Work collaboratively with key business functions, including Insight, R&D, Creative, FFG, RGM, Finance, PMO and Commercial to support the development and the delivery of the Core portfolio strategy and plans.
- Strong stakeholder engagement to align on the strategy, plans and their delivery: i.e. engaging with stakeholders at various levels internally (including senior management in Central and Regional teams) and externally.
You'll Have
- Solid brand marketing experience, ideally from a top tier FMCG company, and ideally with international marketing experience.
- Experience of leading end-to-end development and delivery of NPD including innovations, across multiple markets and in cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong commercial acumen, ability to define portfolio strategies based on consumer and market insights that drive profitability and growth.
- Natural curiosity and consumer focus, with a keen eye for emerging trends and ability to work with insights.
- Creative spark coupled with commercial astuteness and good analytical skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capability, able to engage and influence senior stakeholders, internally and externally.
- Broad working experience at various organisational levels – in regional/global teams, as well as in local team.
- Confident self-starter with the passion and enthusiasm to get stuck into projects to deliver great business results.
- Independent and resilient to work in a busy and complex environment.
- Hands-on mentality and willing to work on all things big and small.
- Fluent in English, and beneficial if you speak French or German.
