We are looking for a Shift Engineer to join our Engineering department at Grosvenor House Suites! As a Shift Engineer you will ensure:
- To carry out corrective and preventive maintenance on all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and audio visual plant and equipment throughout the property.
- To carry out minor repairs to the building fabric, decorative finishes and furnishing and fittings throughout the property.
- To endeavour to meet and exceed our guests' needs and expectations during their stay.
Your main duties include (but are not limited to):
- Liaise with colleague on preceding shift and check log book for hand over information and action accordingly.
- Liaise with duty manager and telephone operator at the beginning of each shift to confirm attendance and test communications.
- To be a member of the investigation team in the event of activation of alarms, such as fire.
- Carry out daily fire, life and safety checks as detailed in the departments Policies & Procedures manual.
- Carry out daily plant and equipment inspections and ensure systems are operating at optimum conditions for comfort and minimum energy usage.
