We are recruiting for an experienced Customer Insight Manager role with a recognised brand as part of their UK Marketing operations. Based at their head office in Yorkshire, the role is looking for a confident expert with proven experience in commercial analysis, conducting market trend analysis, and horizon scanning.

This role will be the key insights partner for the central office and the regional teams, supporting the delivery of key insights on the market, competitors, consumers, and shoppers, into actionable recommendations for strategic commercial planning.

Typical responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Overseeing research projects on market trends
  • Conducting competitor investment, launch and organisation research including commercial data modelling.
  • Strengthening partnerships with retail partners, presenting compelling, data-driven insights to retail buyers, category managers, and key stakeholders across the business.
  • Bringing insights to life through creative storytelling, turning complex data into clear, engaging narratives that inspire action across the business.
  • Providing constant monitoring and analysis of commercial data.
  • Delivering & presenting to the Senior Management team key insights with actionable recommendations to ensure continuous growth in customer spend.
  • Working with Customer Insight providers of 3rd party data (e.g., Kantar, Nielsen)
  • Liaising with Trading teams to gain deeper insight into how to grow basket spend in store.
  • Designing and running specific research projects & concept testing to ensure any created ranges truly match customer trends.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience of a similar role within a Retail / FMCG environment in category management, consumer insights or market research
  • Strong technical expertise in commercial research analysis.
  • Ability to analyse & clarify details on large volumes of facts and figures.
  • A logical and efficient work ethic with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills with Advanced Excel & PowerPoint
  • The ability to effectively prioritise own workload and execute tasks within set timeframes.
  • Educated to degree level.
