Located in Hendon, North West London, the JNF UK Legacy Department (KKL ET) offers a unique combination of wills advice and executorship services together with a high level of pastoral care to 100s of clients throughout the UK. We pride ourselves on the ongoing engagement with our clients sharing with them the impact their legacies, through our parent charity JNF UK, have on the state of Israel.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Responsible for administration of Estates and Estate planning.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Executor of legacies
- Responsible for legacy validation and accuracy from law perspective
- Managing the legacies and estates
- Maintaining relationship with clients along the process until they sign on the legacy
- Responsible for immediate Post-Death Matters such as registration of death, liaising with relatives and visiting the homes of deceased persons to collect documentations and valuables
- Administration of ongoing Will Trusts
- Probate Applications
- Inheritance tax calculation
- Post-death tax planning
- Dealing with all issues regarding the burial
- Completion of income tax and capital gains tax forms
- Drafting and advising upon Lasting Power of Attorney
- Dealing with the preliminary aspects of contentious probate matters and obtaining advice thereupon
- Maintaining relationship with clients to keep them on board
- Liaising with other beneficiary charities
- Maintenance of Department’s legal library
- Keeping abreast of developments in Wills, Trusts and (related) taxation law
- Participation in the marketing activities of the Department as and when requested.
Suitable candidates must be UK qualified lawyers. Whilst previous experience of working within a charity would be an advantage, any experience of working with the public sector or not for profit organisations would also be relevant. You should be able to demonstrate experience in probate law and have excellent communication skills.
