The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
The Valve Technician will be responsible for carrying out overhauls, tests and recertification on different types of valves and actuators.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards, and work instructions.
- Overhaul and recertification of relief valves including conventional, balances bellows, pilot operated and vacuum types.
- Overhaul, test, and recertification of all isolation valve types.
- Overhaul, test and recertification of all control valves, actuators, and ancillary equipment.
- Overhaul, test, and recertification of all actuator types.
- Troubleshooting and problem solving of all valve and actuator issues.
- Provide core competence in use of valve flushing and sealant injection services.
- Provide core competence in use of all torque and tensioning equipment.
- Execution of risk assessments and hazard assessments (Start Cards) on all related work scopes.
- Provide technical support to all valve workshop teams.
- Ability to work effectively as an individual and as part of a team.
- Plan and coordinate any project or shutdown work as and when required.
- Conduct site surveys and produce detailed reports of the equipment detailed above in accordance with the client and/or the company’s requirements.
- Ensure all workshop equipment and tooling are maintained regularly and all records kept up to date.
- Responsible for the general housekeeping within and surrounding the department.
Qualifications and experience:
- Experience in an engineering background.
- NVQ Level 3 in relevant technical discipline is preferred.

- Ability to work as part of a team within the workshop and wider business.
