We are looking for a warm and professional Maitre D' to be the face of our brand-new restaurant on the picturesque Isle of Wight. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an exciting new venture in a dynamic and rewarding setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanour, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage all Food & Beverage (F&B) reservations, coordinating with guests and internal teams to optimise bookings and ensure seamless service.
- Handle walk-ins efficiently to minimise wait times and maximise guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate with the restaurant and bar teams to ensure smooth seating flow and service.
- Invite guests to their tables, providing menus and offering initial recommendations.
- Ensure menus are clean, up to date, and well-presented at all times.
- Maintain and look after all equipment belonging to the Host Team, ensuring it is clean, well-maintained, and in proper working order.
- Address guest enquiries and accommodate special requests to enhance their experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the entrance, waiting area, and reservation system.
- Monitor guest satisfaction, assisting with problem resolution when needed.
- Assist with managing phone enquiries and online bookings.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality, professionalism, and service etiquette.
- Previous experience in a front-of-house or customer service role preferred.
- Experience managing reservations, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a busy restaurant setting.
- A friendly, enthusiastic, and professional attitude.
- Familiarity with reservation systems and basic computer skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
