St Columba's exists to give everyone who needs it the very best hospice care. We are looking for experienced Clinical Administrators to join us in our In-Patient Unit. You will be instrumental in providing an excellent and inclusive response to patients, families, health and social care professionals and the general public, both in person and by telephone.
You will serve as the first point of contact for patients and families in person and by telephone, providing assistance and communicating in a professional manner, ensuring enquiries are dealt with in a calm and sensitive way. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your administrative skills within busy office and clinical environments, where there is a wide variety of administrative and interpersonal duties to be undertaken.
These roles have competing priorities; therefore, good organisational skills are required and a flair for working under pressure is essential. Coupled with excellent planning skills, you will have worked in a similar administrative environment and possess proficient keyboard, word processing and computer skills, e.g. updating and maintaining electronic patient records and other systems. Previous use of TRAK care electronic record system would be an advantage, but full training will be provided.
Our core hours are 7.5 hours per day Monday to Friday; however, there will be a requirement to work every alternate weekend. Please indicate on your application your preferred days/hours of work.
TO APPLY: For more information including an application form and job description, click the 'Apply' button above to visit our Hospice website. We welcome enquiries about our vacancies. For an informal discussion about this opportunity, please contact Mandy Murray or Sally Ramage, using the contact details on our website.
MORE INFORMATION: This post requires the post holder to have a criminal records check at a PVG scheme record update level. An application will be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post. A joint application will be made which the Hospice will pay for.
