I’m looking for a Head of Planning to join a rapidly growing and well-recognised food business based in central London. As the Head of Planning, you’ll be responsible for refining and leading a robust S&OP process as well as leading a team of planners. You’ll be responsible for implementing best practices across the planning function.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the supply planning team members
  • Ensure inventory, service and waste are within targets
  • Drive the accurate and timely completion of month-end stock reconciliation & stock valuation
  • Lead and develop S&OP to provide excellent cross-functional communication & information sharing
  • Work cross-functionally with other senior stakeholders to ensure supply chain efficiency is maintained or improved on all new product launches
  • Analyse supplier performance around capacity and develop strong working relationships with Key Suppliers to work on improvements where needed
  • Anticipate team workload challenges as different suppliers & categories grow

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to train and develop
  • Experience in a Supply Planning Management role from an FMCG business
  • Able to build strong stakeholder and supplier relationships of varying seniority/size
  • Analytical with strong Microsoft Excel knowledge. Power BI a bonus!
  • A continuous improvement mentality
  • A problem-solving attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet targets and deadlines.

This is a hybrid role where you’ll be expected to be in the office 3 days a week and 2 days from home. The salary banding for this role is £65,000 - £75,000 + bonus and benefits.
