I’m looking for a Head of Planning to join a rapidly growing and well-recognised food business based in central London. As the Head of Planning, you’ll be responsible for refining and leading a robust S&OP process as well as leading a team of planners. You’ll be responsible for implementing best practices across the planning function.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the supply planning team members
- Ensure inventory, service and waste are within targets
- Drive the accurate and timely completion of month-end stock reconciliation & stock valuation
- Lead and develop S&OP to provide excellent cross-functional communication & information sharing
- Work cross-functionally with other senior stakeholders to ensure supply chain efficiency is maintained or improved on all new product launches
- Analyse supplier performance around capacity and develop strong working relationships with Key Suppliers to work on improvements where needed
- Anticipate team workload challenges as different suppliers & categories grow
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to train and develop
- Experience in a Supply Planning Management role from an FMCG business
- Able to build strong stakeholder and supplier relationships of varying seniority/size
- Analytical with strong Microsoft Excel knowledge. Power BI a bonus!
- A continuous improvement mentality
- A problem-solving attitude
- Ability to work under pressure, meet targets and deadlines.
