Stress Engineering Opportunity supporting a unique long-term project based onsite in Bristol, working Outside IR35 within a highly skilled Airframe Design team. The position is for a Stress Engineer on a brand new aircraft program – a rare chance to get involved at the full airframe design stage. The role involves hands-on stress analysis, report compilation, and supporting verification/certification work, all within a fast-paced and forward-thinking environment.
A few key things the team is looking for:
- Aircraft experience (eVTOL or similar highly regarded)
- Proficiency in hand calcs and/or FEA (Hyperworks preferred, others considered)
- Familiarity with COMSOL/ANSYS/MATLAB/Abaqus beneficial
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Knowledge of fatigue/damage tolerance or crashworthiness is a bonus
