Are you an experienced QA Test Engineer seeking a role where you can make a real impact? You could be progressing your career as a Senior QA Test Engineer at a global InsurTech business that is producing game changing technology.
As a Senior QA Test Engineer you will collaborate with the Lead QA within a product team responsible for the quality of a flagship insurance underwriting product used globally by all major insurers. You will build a strong understanding of the product; using a "contract testing" mindset you will perform non-functional and exploratory testing, form test strategy and collaborate closely with software engineers, pushing back on requirements where necessary to ensure the product meets quality standards with robust features. You will decide which tests to run to test particular features using a mix of automation and manual techniques.
Location / WFH: There is a hybrid work from model, you can work from most of the week, meeting up with colleagues in Reigate 1-2 days a week in modern, open plan offices within a five minute walk of the station; there is a smart casual dress code and a good work / life balance.
About you:
- You are a skilled QA Engineer with the ability to understand complex software products and work out how to test them.
- You have strong C# backend testing experience combined with JavaScript / TypeScript, Angular and Cypress test automation experience for client side applications.
- You have a good knowledge of Non-functional, Exploratory, manual testing and test automation.
- You have a good understanding of SaaS and Azure.
- You have end-to-end testing experience.
- You enjoy problem solving and collaborating as part of a cross functional Agile team.
- You believe in automating wherever possible.
- You have excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- You are likely to be degree educated in Computer Science or other STEM discipline, although it is not essential.
