Are you a commercially minded Management Accountant looking for a hands-on role in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? Our client – a thriving, multi-brand hospitality group with operations across the UK, the Netherlands, and Belgium – is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their growing finance team.
This is a 12-month contract covering a period of maternity. Hybrid working could be available, depending on the needs of the business. You will receive a salary of up to £52,000 per annum, plus a discretionary bonus, discounts across hospitality brands, onsite parking and the opportunity to work in a supportive team and develop your commercial finance skills.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a varied and impactful role, ideal for a proactive individual who enjoys improving systems and driving efficiencies. You’ll gain wide exposure across all areas of management accounting and play a key role in supporting business decision-making in an entrepreneurial setting.
Key Responsibilities As Management Accountant:
- Period-end intercompany recharges
- Preparation of accruals and prepayments schedules
- Cost of sales calculations and adjustments
- Stock analysis and reporting post stock-take
- P&L review and preparation of management accounts packs
- Liaising with operational managers to resolve P&L queries
- Balance sheet reconciliations and control account management
- Beer Duty and MGD return preparation and submission
- Assisting with annual budgeting processes
- Supporting the year-end accounts and schedules preparation
About You:
To succeed in this role, you'll bring a mix of strong technical skills, commercial awareness, and a drive to add value through process improvements. We’re looking for a Management Accountant with:
- Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
- Strong Excel and IT skills (experience with SUN v6 is desirable)
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Clear and confident communication abilities
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
- Experience working to tight deadlines in a busy finance function
