The role also involves managing middleware platforms, especially MuleSoft, to optimize integration performance and scalability. Additionally, the role includes custom development using MuleSoft, Apex, and declarative tools, as well as troubleshooting and maintaining integrations. The leader will guide the integration team, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and document integration workflows and troubleshooting procedures.
Key Responsibilities:

Define integration patterns, best practices, and data security standards. Leverage Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP, Bulk API, Streaming API) for integration.
- Middleware Management: Configure and manage middleware platforms to orchestrate integrations (MuleSoft is a must). Optimize integration workflows for performance and scalability.
- Implementation and Development: Design and develop custom integrations using MuleSoft, Apex, and declarative tools where necessary. Manage external system connections via APIs, batch processes, or file-based integrations. Handle data transformations, mappings, and error handling during integrations. Build mock APIs using MuleSoft Mocking Service, APIKit Router, WireMock, or Postman to facilitate Salesforce and integration development in environments where external systems are unavailable. Implement config-driven API switching to transition seamlessly from mock services to real systems.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Lead the integration team, assign tasks, and provide technical guidance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Salesforce admins, developers, and external system owners, to ensure alignment on integration needs.
- Monitoring and Maintenance: Implement monitoring solutions for integrations to ensure data integrity and system uptime. Troubleshoot integration issues and provide resolutions promptly.
- Documentation: Document integration designs, workflows, and troubleshooting guides for future reference.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in MuleSoft and Salesforce integrations. Proven experience designing and delivering complex integrations involving multiple systems.

Expertise in Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP, Bulk, Streaming) and platform capabilities. Strong knowledge of data formats (JSON, XML, CSV) and integration tools. Hands-on experience with Salesforce declarative tools and Apex for custom integration. Familiarity with security protocols such as OAuth, SAML, and SSL for API authentication.
Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Self-starter with strong collaboration with cross functional IT and Business teams. Clear and concise communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
