Job Details:
Class 2 Afternoon/Evening driver doing store deliveries to stores each night, working a shift pattern of 4 on 4 off or 5 on 3 off. This is a national temperature-controlled distribution company operating across three depots in the UK.
What you will be doing:
- Safely operate the delivery van to transport goods to various locations.
- Average Drops between 8-10 drops per day.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload items from cages, performing heavy lifting as necessary. Handball work will be involved.
- Maintain communication with Transport staff and customers regarding delivery status.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries and maintain a clean driving log.
Start times between 14:00 - 17:00.
What we are looking for:
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV license - Essential
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and valid digital tachograph card - Essential
- Strong knowledge of UK road networks and road safety laws - Essential
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Minimum of 2 years held on a driving license - Essential
- We will accept up to 6 points on your license, but no DD, DG, TT, DR, CD, IN, CU endorsements.
- Flexibility to work on a 4 on 4 off or 5 on 3 off shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays - Essential
- Working Monday to Sunday on a rota pattern over 8 weeks.
- 4 on 4 off Shift pattern Guaranteed 35 hours per week over 12-week period.
- 5 on 3 off Shift pattern Guaranteed 44 hours per week over 12-week period.
- Full training will be provided along with a uniform.
Starting hourly pay will be £16.91 per hr. Bank holidays worked paid at time and half.
