Relocation £44,000 to £47,000 per year. Independent brand in the heart of Edinburgh, looking for an accomplished Restaurant Manager or Assistant General Manager reporting to the General Manager. This opportunity includes £1,000 relocation support for out of Edinburgh candidates.

We're looking for an accomplished Restaurant Manager/AGM with proven experience in leading upmarket restaurants and bars in a known high street brand. A leader with some PnL responsibility, full business understanding including bar and floor leadership experience.

OUR BUSINESS: Located in the heart of Edinburgh, we are an upmarket restaurant and cocktail bar open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Seasonal, fresh; we don’t cut corners. Fresh produce, detailed menus in an upmarket destination venue with a highly engaged and passionate team delivering an exceptional guest experience.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • You have been working as a Restaurant Manager or Assistant General Manager in a busy environment for the past few years.
  • You’re first-class in everything you do and want to find an environment that’s as obsessive about quality as you are.
  • You’re a great leader who really cares about your people.
  • You have a mentoring approach, coaching and developing other members of the team is a natural focus for you.
  • Your attention to detail is second to none; not only in the day-to-day service standards but also in your business administration, reporting and relationship with team and stakeholders.
  • You have a genuine commitment to making people happy, the health of your team and their love for the business and its leadership is paramount.
  • You never compromise on quality and performance of the restaurant.
  • You have strong, hands-on experience in bar and floor management, stock management, restaurant and bar open and closing.
  • You have had some experience of a PnL and a general understanding able to lead a restaurant and bar in the absence of your GM.
  • You have exceptional communication skills, detailed in reporting and business administration and able to present business insights week to week.
