Partner - Private Client

Exceptional law practice located close to Wimbledon are currently recruiting a qualified lawyer within the sector of Private Client, Wills and Probate for a Head of Department role and partnership.

The ideal person will be a qualified Solicitor or FCILEX and perhaps is already running a successful department or seeking that next step up, or you will already be a Partner within the Private client team.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the department, ensuring effective coordination, collaboration, and alignment with the firm\’s broader objectives. Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring that legal work is delivered to the highest standard.

Drive business development initiatives, identify and pursue new business opportunities, and build strong relationships with current and prospective clients. Actively participate in networking, marketing, and the firm’s growth strategy.

Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor. Oversee and manage complex legal matters, providing strategic guidance and ensuring optimal results for clients.

Team Development: Mentor, develop, and support junior lawyers and staff within the department. Provide training and development opportunities and promote a culture of continuous learning and high performance.

Work with the firm\’s leadership to contribute to long-term strategic planning and decision-making. Identify areas for growth and innovation, and lead initiatives to enhance the department’s capabilities and competitive edge.

The successful candidate will have proven experience and knowledge in the preparation of Wills, Probate, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection and elderly client matters

Excellent written and oral communication skills

High quality educational and technical background

Self-motivated, self-confident and able to work with minimum supervision

Able to relate to clients at all levels and demonstrate excellent levels of client care

Good team player with collegial and collaborative approach

Able to forge and develop business relationships with an enthusiasm for networking and business development
