A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced, motivated and hard-working individual to join the Operations Team at RunThrough. We are looking for a candidate to manage and support the delivery of cutting-edge and professional mass-participation running events. You shall complete the daily tasks of event management to include, but not restricted to event planning, venue management, and ensuring high-standards are maintained in relation to the preparation and delivery of events. You may also be line manager of a small team.
Key Roles and Responsibilities- Maintain and develop relationships with venues, councils, traffic management contractors, businesses etc.
- Create and update event management plans and risk assessments.
- Complete relevant event applications, e.g. road closure applications.
- Conduct official course measurements for new event courses.
- Lead the course team on event days, ensuring that courses are correctly set up and packed down. Being the lead cyclist for events where appropriate.
- Line management of a small team of Operations staff.
- Passionate about physical activity and running.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
- Full driving licence.
- Previous line management experience.
- Ability to work independently and remotely during the week.
- Willing to work weekends: early start, early finish.
- Excellent organisation skills.
- Knowledge of the U.K running industry.
