Filmfinity London is seeking a Digital Film Restoration Technician with a passion for restoring and preserving cinematic history to join our expert team. You’ll work on high-end archival projects that bring classic film content back to life.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for frame-by-frame digital restoration—removing visual defects such as scratches, flicker, dirt, warping, and colour degradation using tools like Phoenix, Diamant, or DRS Nova. You’ll also manage conforming, syncing audio, framing, and creating delivery files that meet modern technical specifications. You’ll collaborate closely with filmmakers and archival specialists to maintain the integrity of original materials throughout the process.
Key Requirements
- Experience with Phoenix, Diamant, or MTI Film restoration software
- Understanding of film-based post-production workflows and delivery specifications
- Strong attention to detail; highly organised and able to manage multiple workflows
- Able to work independently under pressure and solve problems effectively
- Experience with software packages such as DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop is a plus, as is familiarity with colourisation or AI-based restoration tools
