My client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Gas Maintenance Service Engineer to join their team, specialising in maintaining and servicing gas forges, hearths, and safety devices within educational institutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in planned preventative maintenance, gas fault diagnosis, and general breakdown repair, and will represent the company with professionalism and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance on gas forges, hearths, and safety devices in the Design Technology and Science departments.
- Diagnose and repair gas faults and breakdowns in accordance with company policies and industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain a high standard of presentation at all times.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with onsite clients and staff.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Manage and organize workload efficiently, including working away from home.
- Provide excellent communication, both written and oral, to clients and team members.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Ideally valid commercial gas safe qualifications but will provide training if not.
- Proven experience in gas maintenance and repair.
- Current driving license and willingness to travel.
- Clear DBS check.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
