We are seeking a passionate Restaurant Duty Manager to assist in the smooth running of our restaurant on the Swinton Estate. You will play a crucial role in ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests, with guidance from our Restaurant Manager and wider Swinton team.
Samuel's restaurant, steeped in Victorian grandeur with an ornate gold leaf ceiling, is complemented by traditional décor and a seasonal à la carte menu of show-stopping British and European classics, alongside a fabulously exciting wine list for a truly delightful, 'Uniquely Swinton' dining experience.

Swinton Estate is situated in the Yorkshire Dales and is one of the largest privately owned estates in England. Constantly developing, we boast Swinton Park, a luxury traditional castle hotel with 42 bedrooms, three holiday cottages, and award-winning Samuel's Restaurant; a luxurious country club and spa including the contemporary Terrace Restaurant; Swinton Bivouac, a glamping site with tree lodges, yurts, and café; and last but by no means least, the Swinton cookery school.

The Role:
- Engaging with guests and team members to meet and exceed their needs
- Making sure the ambiance and standards of presentation within the restaurant, lounge areas, and bar exceed expectations
- Ensuring continuous learning and development for both yourself and the team
- Identifying new ways to surprise customers and delivering the highest standard of service
- Handling any customer complaints, fulfilling duty management shifts, and ensuring any service recovery is completed to the guest's satisfaction
- Keeping up to date with the industry and market both locally and nationally
- Proactively instilling the Swinton Estate values in every interaction with staff and guests alike
Candidates should be:
- Experienced at a similar level
