Opportunity to join an established company in the Yate area South Gloucestershire as a pipe welder, working on the company's products in a workshop environment with overtime opportunities at 1.25.
This role reports to the mechanical supervisor.
The pipe welder involves:
- The welding of pipe work for commercial and industrial environments
- Tig welding skills
- Welding carbon steel pipework
- General use of tools and equipment associated with pipework and able to read engineering drawings
- Working in a small team on customer sites
- Transport provided and travel time paid to customer sites
Skills required for the pipe welder:
- Pipe welding skills with tig; Stick welding would also be of interest
- Any welding qualifications or previous coded welding are of interest but not essential
- Knowledge of general tools and equipment associated with pipework
- Able to read drawings
