This role reports to the mechanical supervisor.

The pipe welder involves:

  • The welding of pipe work for commercial and industrial environments
  • Tig welding skills
  • Welding carbon steel pipework
  • General use of tools and equipment associated with pipework
  • Able to read engineering drawings
  • Working in a small team on customer sites
  • Transport provided and travel time paid to customer sites

Skills required for the pipe welder:

  • Pipe welding skills with tig; Stick welding would also be of interest
  • Any welding qualifications or previous coded welding are of interest but not essential
  • Knowledge of general tools and equipment associated with pipework
  • Able to read drawings
