Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Project Manager to join our team! This exciting role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a keen eye for detail. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing all projects.

The Role: As part of the role, the Project Manager will primarily deal with:

  • The day-to-day management and coordination of all retro/refurbishment installation projects from £5K to £250K to British Standards.
  • Technical & Quality Management, e.g. quality systems, technical support to internal & external stakeholders.
  • Prepare product specifications and consulting zone-charts.
  • Surveying sites and reporting on anomalies prior to contract commencement.
  • Direct accountability for profitability and quality on a job.
  • Manage and take responsibility for project life cycle.
  • Recruitment & performance management of all sub-contractors and engineers on site (Engineering & Health and Safety).
  • Manage client relations as part of the project management life cycle.
  • Manage parts and equipment procurement and recommend offerings to the business.
  • Fire alarm and fire detection design of residential and high-rise properties that are retrofitted or refurbished.
  • Manage and monitor the project coordinator and administrative processes.

The Candidate: Firetecnics are looking for a competent and knowledgeable candidate with:

  • Project management skills and site supervision experience.
  • Technical problem-solving skills.
  • Document control, financial control and budgeting skills.
  • Extensive experience in the fire industry and thorough understanding of the British Standards.
  • Good understanding of the provision Method Statements.
  • Thorough knowledge of compliance with ISO9002 procedures.
  • Proven excellent man management skills.

Area of Expertise:

  • BS5839:2019
  • BS7671:2018 (18th edition)
  • Fire Alarm Design, Installation and Commissioning in high-risk buildings e.g., residential 7 floors and over.
  • Electrical safety legislation, regulations, standards & terminology.
  • Sound knowledge of electrical systems – fault finding.

Qualifications:

  • FIA Unit One to Seven (advantageous).
  • Fire Detection and Alarm advanced design course (advantageous).
  • City & Guilds 2330 Levels 2 & 3.
  • City & Guilds 2382-10 levels 2 & 3.
