Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver to join our successful client based in the Abingdon, OX14 area. Our client who specializes in Waste Management is transforming waste into valuable resources and lessening its impact on the environment.
Pay rate: £16.95 per hour, weekly pay in arrears, every Friday
Shift pattern: Monday - Friday 6.00 am till 3pm
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Drive and operate a class 2 dust car, refuse lorry, or bin lorry
- Perform daily walk-around vehicle checks
- Collect refuse from a different local area each day of the week
- Assist with manually moving domestic wheelie bins
- Work as part of a small team
Person Specification:
- UK HGV Class 2 driving license (minimum 6 months)
- Digital tachograph card & CPC card
- Good team working skills and good communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to a fast paced, dynamic work environment
- Previous experience within a waste & recycling industrial environment would be an advantage.
