About the Role
Leading a multidisciplinary team of operators. Operating equipment to the required standards while achieving set production targets. Performing routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems, including tissue converting machinery, packaging equipment, and ancillary systems. Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical faults, implementing effective solutions to minimise downtime. Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely (including LOTO-PTW). Collaborating with production teams to minimise downtime and address issues, while documenting maintenance activities and ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations. Assisting with new equipment installations and managing contractor relationships. Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and developing maintenance procedures to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
Package Description
- £26.00 per hour (plus 19% NSA paid between 10pm to 6am)
- 3 days on 3 days off
- Day shift - 6am to 6pm
- Night shift - 6pm to 6am
- Based in Huyton, Liverpool.
- 28 days paid holiday per year including bank and public holiday allowance rising to 33 days upon 5 years' service
- Contributable Company pension scheme
Minimum Criteria to Apply
- Previous experience in a similar role within an FMCG environment, preferably in tissue paper converting.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and automated systems.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
