Are you a Multi-Skilled Engineer looking for a role with a leading manufacturer that offers excellent training and progression? We seek a dynamic engineer looking for the next step in their career, keen to learn and develop their skills. The role may suit someone who has recently completed their apprenticeship looking for their next role or those with an engineering background in manufacturing, MOD, chemicals or heavy engineering seeking a Monday to Friday role.

The role:

  • Undertaking all aspects of planned and preventative maintenance on automated machinery.
  • Ensuring plant is running safely, efficiently and at full capacity.
  • Performing both planned and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Undertaking machine modifications and other continuous improvements activities.
  • Fault-finding on PLCs.
  • Working with hydraulic, pneumatic, water jet cutters and presses and robotic equipment.
  • Attending breakdowns, assessing problems using root cause analysis.
  • Ensuring compliance to relevant safety and environmental regulations.

You will be:

  • An apprentice trained Multiskilled engineer.
  • Keen to learn with an excellent attitude to work.
  • Experienced in the fault finding and repair of a range of both mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Confident with hydraulics and pneumatics, compressors.
  • PLC Fault Interrogation on Siemens S7.
  • Experience of setting up Soft starts, Invertors.
  • ABB Robotics S4C+ / IRC5 Operation & Maintenance.
  • Ipaf Certificate 3a & 3b.
  • Lathe and Milling Machine Experience.
  • Able to weld.
  • Experience of root cause analysis techniques such as 8D, 5Y.
  • Safety systems such as SICK / Guard master light curtains / scanners.
  • Able to use SAP.
  • Lifting & Slinging Certified.
  • 17th / 18th Edition.

Hours: Rotating shifts Mon to Fri - 0600 - 1400, 1400 - 2200 & 2200 - 0600. There will be an expectation for some project weekend work paid at overtime rate time plus one third.
