Due to a new and exciting upcoming project, G3 Systems are looking to recruit a driven and proven Lead Engineer to be part of the Programme Delivery Team. The ideal candidate will have a background in Systems Engineering and will have experience in managing project engineering teams, to ensure compliance with complex system requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversight and responsibility for the design and development of safe, efficient, and effective engineering solutions that will fall within the budget and are in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Setting and managing the system of systems approach required to deliver the project.
- Ensuring project design solutions comply with the customers' system requirements, documents, compliance document, and contractual requirements.
- Managing sub-contractor designs and engineering outputs, ensuring compliance with the Statement of Work, compliance document, and system requirements documents.
- Development, management, and execution of the Trials, Verification and Validation Plan.
- Achieving all necessary and required systems certifications.
- Collaborating with other departments to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Ensuring weekly and monthly management reporting material is provided and maintained.
- Engendering and maintaining a mission zero safety culture throughout the programme delivery team and supply chain.
International Travel: The role will require UK and European travel.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
- BSc degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Active certification in an engineering professional organisation.
- Professional Engineering Licensure.
- Advanced understanding of engineering principles and procedures.
- Demonstrable experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment at Management level.
- Knowledge and experience of System Engineering principles and practices.
- Experience and knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Management Systems and ISO 45001:2018.
- Proficient in the use of design software packages.
- Working with Military Organisations and associated procurement establishments.
- Working knowledge of human factors engineering.
- Security Cleared or be able to achieve security clearance.
