Due to growth-driven expansion of its Commodities business, Karbone is seeking Sales Traders to join its London office.
Responsibilities:
- Originate, structure and execute bilateral deals/contracts for various classes of environmental commodities throughout the UK and EU
- Areas of coverage may include any combination of Guarantees of Origin (GOs), Renewable Guarantees of Origin (REGOs), Biofuels and Certificates, International Renewable Energy Credits (I-RECs), Power Contracts, etc.
- Establish, manage and grow relationships with existing and new market participants
- Maintain knowledge of current market developments, regulation/legislation and industry trends
- Act as a key company representative in the UK and EU, participate in industry networking events and conduct client meetings with the goal of growing company exposure and building book
- Assist with the launching of new business lines and expanding of team. Metrics for success will include revenue generation, deal pipeline origination, deal closure, client onboarding and activity, etc.
Qualifications:
- 3-8+ years of experience in a mid-marketing, trading, or brokerage role
- Proven track record of closing renewable energy and environmental commodity transactions within UK or EU markets is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or Finance preferred
- German language and/or market exposure is highly desired but not required
- Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong initiative, results-orientation, innovation, and an entrepreneurial attitude
