Priory Hospital Norwich focuses on adult acute services, and currently has one male and two female wards, with a PICU unit opening this summer. The aim of the hospital is to offer high standards of patient-centred care at all times whilst promoting a supportive and enjoyable work environment. Due to the 24-hour nature of the unit, our nurses benefit from 24-hour medical and management cover in order to support the team on the ward to offer consistently high-quality care.

We are seeking talented managers and experienced nurses who are keen to progress their career and feel that they have the potential management and leadership capability demanded by the role of Ward Manager. You must be qualified as a first-level registered nurse with the NMC/registered with Social Work England/HCPC, and must have a minimum of 3 years post-qualifying experience working in mental health. An interest in quality improvement and patient-centred care is a must.

As Ward Manager, your role will be to co-ordinate the quality and management of nursing care, patient care and the clinical environment. You will have the opportunity to participate fully with the multidisciplinary team and undertake direct patient care as well as managing delivery of clinical services within a ward, ensuring it complies with statutory regulations, current legislation and meets quality standards. You will also have a key role in providing supervision and support and helping to develop and progress the staff working within the ward.
