About Our Client
We’re working with a high-impact consultancy that’s rewriting how Financial Services firms approach technology change, not as an IT initiative, but as a strategic growth driver. This isn’t a role where you draw frameworks and watch from the sidelines. You’ll be hands-on with complex challenges, embedded in C-level conversations, and instrumental in shaping the platforms and capabilities that carry real commercial weight. This is architecture with purpose, and it’s time we stopped calling it “Enterprise Architecture.”
The Opportunity
This role sits at the heart of major transformation programmes, guiding clients through ambiguity, aligning teams behind strategic intent, and shaping architectures that deliver measurable outcomes, not just compliant diagrams. You’ll operate as a trusted advisor to business and technology leaders alike, helping them modernise, integrate, and evolve. From unlocking legacy constraints to enabling new digital business models, your impact will be visible and lasting.
Where You’ll Make an Impact as an Enterprise Architect
- Align Strategy to Execution
- Translate business ambition into scalable, modern technology ecosystems
- Build actionable blueprints that connect near-term delivery to long-term value
- Provide clarity across change portfolios, helping leaders prioritise what matters
- Architect for Growth
- Lead the design of modular, secure, and cloud-native solutions fit for scaling
- Simplify legacy complexity, while introducing modern platforms and tooling
- Shape roadmaps that enable agility, resilience, and data-driven decision-making
- Cut Through the Noise
- Bring structure to chaos, influence at pace, and insight to the table
- Be the calm in the room — when others chase trends, you deliver clarity
- Drive consensus across stakeholders with competing priorities
- Govern with Agility
- Set principles that empower delivery rather than block it
- Introduce governance that scales — lightweight, effective, respected
- Partner with security and risk teams to balance innovation with control
What You’ll Bring as an Enterprise Architect
- Sector Depth
- Strong knowledge of Financial Services environments (Banking, Insurance, or Capital Markets)
- Able to work across regulatory, operational, and digital change landscapes
- Strategic Thinking, Delivered
- You’ve led the design and delivery of architecture in complex, dynamic settings
- Experience across business, data, application, and technology domains — but focused on outcomes, not just theory
- Equally comfortable in front of a whiteboard, steering committee, or delivery team
- Tools & Methods
- Pragmatic approach to frameworks (TOGAF, BIZBOK, etc.), you use them, not follow them
- Hands-on experience with tooling such as ArchiMate, Sparx, BiZZdesign
- Strong grasp of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), APIs, microservices, and integration patterns
