About the role
The Finance Shared Service & Reconciliations Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and efficiency of financial reconciliations within a shared services environment. This role supports financial operations by performing account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to maintain financial integrity. The analyst will also contribute to process improvements and compliance with financial policies and controls.
Key responsibilities include:
- Comprehensive submission and analysis of cash flow forecasting for the region.
- Working with credit controller, analysing actuals to forecasts to increase accuracy and understanding of cash movements.
- Work with Finance Manager Shared Services for budget submissions and analyses for all shared service functions.
- Produce reports and support corporate finance teams to tighten accuracy and understand and rectify variances.
- Perform accurate and timely reconciliations of general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and intercompany transactions.
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes by ensuring all reconciliations are completed and discrepancies are addressed.
- Support the implementation of financial controls and compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other finance teams to ensure transactions are recorded correctly.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to enhance reconciliation efficiency.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is an advantage.
- 2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or a shared services environment, with a focus on reconciliations.
- Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy and thoroughness in financial reconciliations and reporting.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Identifies issues and proposes effective solutions to resolve discrepancies.
- Analytical Thinking: Uses logical reasoning and data analysis to assess financial information.
