Our client is the world leader in the design and manufacture of precision products to the medical sector. They currently require a Senior Production Engineer to lead and support production improvement projects.
Reporting to the Production Engineering Manager, the Senior Production Engineer shall research, design, develop and test new products from initial inception through to volume manufacture, creating device history files, setting and maintaining achievable quality parameters.
Assist in devising, implementing, monitoring and maintaining the best manufacturing/production methods and techniques to improve controllability, quality and reduce costs.
- Ensuring on time delivery of projects
- Preparation and maintenance of design dossiers, drawings, process and product validations through manufacture and testing
- Creation, control and maintenance of supporting product documentation
- Continual improvement of current manufacturing processes
- Liaise with other departments on topics including NPI, technical documentations, design/development, validation, and quality
- Liaising with suppliers to ensure we have suitable up to date tooling and processes
- Creating and maintaining product records within the companies ERP system
- Adherence to Quality Management Systems requirements
- Procedure/technical documentation writing
- Compliance with all statutory regulations and company procedures
Experience/Qualifications:
- A HNC in Mechanical / Electrical engineering or similar with a proven record of machine programming, project management, and NPI
- An understanding and capability of operating CAD software
- Experience / Knowledge of Programming and setting CNC machinery
